Once upon a time, the ingenius inventor came up with a crazy idea: he would seduce his lover with a Magic Butterfly! Having perfected a brilliant assembly of metal wire, elastic and shimmering paper, he wrote his message on the wings, slipped it into an envelope and mailed it to her.

Since 1993, we have striven to maintain this flame as a generic symbol. The cornerstone of the company strategy that has developed over the years is to communicate an “générateur d’émotions” message to any audience.

The incredible success story began on 5 November 1993, on a television show on the leading French TV channel TF1. The inventor, the programme’s star guest, handed a surprise envelope to the presenter, which he opened to the astonishment of 5 million TV viewers.

David Vilaplana, created Magic Flyer International in 1995. The very first Magic Flyer® were commercialised immediately. The invention started receiving substantial media coverage in France and overseas from 1996: dozens of TV programmes and features in newspapers, trade press, radios and popular magazines. Meanwhile, the company was going international: in 1997, the distribution strategy for the Magic Flyer® was extended to include its first European distributors: the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal etc. Other distributors came on board and new products were launched (the Individual Pack, the Interactive Pack, the Complete Mailing Pack…).

Over the years, Magic Flyer International has worked with increasing numbers of international clients in the marketing and distribution sectors and in the cultural sphere. These references are a source of great pride for the company.
